Happy House of Frightenstein

Welcome to Frightenstein!
Get ready for the animated misadventures of COUNT JR., WOLFIE, IGGY, AND GRIZ -- The beloved characters from the original Hilarious House of Frightenstein, reimagined as wee children of the night – as they play, laugh, and grow together in the Happy House of Frightenstein, a giant castle-like play structure located in the charmingly spooky backyard of the iconic Castle Frightenstein.
Someday these four fiendishly funny best friends will grow up to run the castle, but until then they are content to just be kids, having big adventures, causing trouble, and learning a little something about themselves along the way. Of course, the lessons learned are often the opposite of what viewers might expect. These are mini-monsters after all -- they don’t always play by the same rules as us humans.
This is a show that focuses solely on the kids, leaving the parents to be heard in the background, rather than seen on screen. But that doesn’t mean the kids are completely without adult supervision during playtime. They’re always under the watchful eye of GRONK, the monstrous, but slightly absent-minded serpent baby-sitter who pops out of the vents, drains, cupboards and drawers to give advice, trying to keep the chaos contained to a respectable level, and be a sympathetic shoulder to cry on.
HAPPY HOUSE OF FRIGHTENSTEIN is a series of 3-minute animated digital shorts for 5-7 year olds and their families.

Meet the Characters!
Count Jr.Continuing in the very long succession of Counts inhabiting Castle Frightenstein, Count Jr. is the unofficial leader of the pack.
Just like his father, Count Jr. considers himself to be an inventor, though very little that he comes up with actually ends up working. He’s a born dreamer, and has a little too much confidence in himself, so he talks a good game – but when he gets into a sticky situation he inevitably blurts out his signature catchphrase, “This was a mistake”. An unlikely pair, Count Jr. and Iggy are the best of friends, with Count Jr. calling the shots, and Iggy more than happy to help. |
IggyEven though he’s just a little green kid, Iggy is twice the size of every other character in the gang.
Regardless of his exceptional size, Iggy is the very definition of a giant with a heart of gold. Iggy has a ton of strength but couldn’t hurt a fly, in fact he’s been known to nurse injured flies back to health. Clumsy, awkward, and afraid of most everything, Iggy is still an inspiration to everyone around him with the ways in which he overcomes his fears. Iggy will go along with any idea that the Count comes up, and will always do his best to help, even though he usually messes most of it up. |
GrizzGriz is a very adventurous eater – she has a wicked sour-tooth, and is fearless in her pursuit of sampling and collecting the most disgusting ingredients and recipes possible.
She is highly accident prone, but will always bounce back from a fall or injury with the attitude that she intended to do that. Because she is still learning to read, Griz has a limited knowledge of hexes, potions and curses, and much of what she gleans from her spell books is completely mixed up and often produces very unintended results, which she also tries to claim was on purpose. |
Wolfie
A werewolf cub who aspires to be a famous singer, she spends most of her time dancing to music and singing her latest self- composed song.
But here’s the catch, most of the time her voice comes out timid and pitchy, until the full moon comes out and she transforms into an incredible singer with a touch of the diva attitude to match. An eternal optimist, she never lets obstacles like her lack of vocal skills get her down, feeling like she and the gang can fix anything if they all work together. |
Gronk
Gronk is the loveable purple sea serpent who can turn up anytime/anywhere.
They always let their presence be known by announcing very loudly, “Gronk!” Startling everyone in hearing range, until they realize it’s just the very harmless Gronk. Gronk has taken it upon itself to be a protector of the kids, but they are equal parts well-meaning and overbearing, so sometimes they assert themself as the protector or fixer when they are not really needed, which leads to many mishaps and misunderstandings. |
